"I started by joining Newtown Friends of the Earth in the 80's (Trawsffynydd), lapsed for a while (though still took an interest). I was told I was going to be a grandad and formally rejoined FoE then CND and Greenpeace. After getting involved with local groups and talking to Ann Garrett I decided to join the Green Party.
I was always wary of joining a political party from an anti-establishment point of view but I decided to take the plunge so to speak."
